  • Coffee or tea



Waking up and screaming out a need for coffee or tea is common but by doing it you are just welcoming a more acid level in your stomach. Drinking hot beverages as soon as you get up is not good for your health.


  • Don’t take medicine


Unless and until you have proper instruction, don’t take medicines on an empty stomach. It can irritate and disturb your intestinal lining and can cause stomach pain and ulcers. Taking antibiotics especially can increase chances of diarrhoea and nausea. So AVOID!


  • Yogurt


Eating yogurt or any other dairy product can form hydrochloric acid in stomach which is ot at all beneficial for your stomach. It kills the lactic acid bacteria and has little or not benefit for your entire body.


  • Tomatoes


Tomatoes are high in having tannic acid that can increases chances of acidity in stomach. It can further lead to stomach ulcer. So avoid taking tomatoes on an empty stomach.


  • Cucumber and other green vegetables


Green vegetables are rich in having amino acids that can be a reason of heartburn and flatulence. It can also cause abdominal pain. Taking these vegetables on an empty stomach increases the chances of such diseases so avoid taking them.


  • Bananas


Taking bananas on an empty stomach can increase the amount of magnesium in your blood. It can also harm your heart.


  • Carbonated Drinks

Though drinking carbonated drinks at any time of the day is harmful but, drinking them on an empty stomach can increase more chances of diseases. It can damage your mucous membranes and reduces the blood supply to the stomach. Chances are, the digestion process of food becomes slow which is not good for your health.

Citrus fruits when eaten on an empty stomach can cause gastric ulcers and gastritis. Avoid having them especially right after you wake up.
